Ingredient Notes

Only a minimal amount of ingredients are needed to make Air Fryer Sausage and Potatoes.

  • Use any color bell peppers. Yellow, orange, red, and green all work well.
  • Use a smoked, cooked sausage. Polksa Kielbasa, Andouille or any other smoked sausage will work well. Do not use uncooked sausage

Recipe Tips

  • Cut the sausage in fairly thin slices and the bell pepper and onion roughly the same size (about 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces.)
  • No need to preheat the air fryer but you can. It will shorten the cooking time slightly.
  • Avoid overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary for maximum crispness. If there is a thick layer, the veggies and sausage will steam.
  • Shake the basket halfway though to promote more even cooking.
  • If your cajun seasoning has a lot of salt, you will need to add little, if any, salt.
  • If you have leftovers, chop them up and use them as an omelet filling. Delicious!

How To Serve Air Fryer Sausage and Peppers

Serve as is for a low carb meal. You can pair it with a salad with Creamy Balsamic Dressing or serve over rice or quinoa or as a filling for a sub sandwich.
