Air Fryer Cajun Chicken Legs
Air Fryer Cajun Chicken Legs are wonderfully coated in spices and air fry in just 22 minutes. I love air frying chicken. The skin cooks up wonderfully crispy and the interior stays juicy. Super easy to make for a weeknight dinner.
How To Make Air Fryer Cajun Chicken Legs
- Preheat air fryer. Preheat air fryer to 370.
- Prepare the chicken. Blot the chicken legs dry with paper towels. This ensures the skin will get crispy.
- Drizzle with olive oil and rub it in.
- Combine the seasonings and sprinkle all over chicken
- Air fry. Air fry for 11 to 12 minutes per side.
- Serve. If desired sprinkle with parsley and then serve.
Cajun Seasoning
Either cajun or creole seasoning can be used. They are very similar. You can make a homemade cajun seasoning or use a store-bought one. I most use Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning and Louisiana Cajun Seasoning.
Since cajun seasoning typically has a good deal of salt, I haven’t added any salt to this recipe. If your cajun seasoning is sodium-free, add a little salt.
Air Fryer Cooking Times Vary
Different air fryers cook at different rates so use the air fryer cooking time as an estimate. Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Recipe Tips
- Do not crowd the air fryer basket. The chicken legs should not be touching.
- For extra flavor, serve these drumsticks with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
Storage
Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 days and can be reheated in the air fryer at 325 degrees for 5 minutes.
