Air Fryer Crab Dip

Air Fryer Crab Dip- this rich and creamy crab dip only takes 5 to 7 minutes to make in an air fryer. Makes a wonderful party appetizer. Serve with toasted baguette or pita chips.

The air fryer gets the crab dip hot and bubbly around the edges and it only takes a fraction of the time that it would to bake in the oven.

Creamy Base

A combination of cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream creates an ultra creamy base for this crab dip.

Seasoning

To flavor the dip, I’ve used seasoned salt (I use Lawry’s), TABASCO Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, and capers. I’ve tried to keep the ingredient list short, but for extra flavor, you could add a minced garlic clove or some garlic powder for a little garlic flavor, some sliced green onion, or a quarter cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese for more cheese flavor

Equipment Needed For This Recipe

  • Air Fryer– I’m currently using the Cosori Pro II Air Fryer 5.8-quarts.
  • 8-inch Round Pan or you can use 2 small ramekins.

Substitutions

  • Use soy sauce in place of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Use yellow cheddar cheese or swiss cheese instead of white cheddar.
  • Use red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper in place of TABASCO sauce.
  • Substitute cooked lobster meat for crabmeat.

Type Of Crabmeat To Use

Fresh lump or backfin crabmeat is best. Claw crabmeat would be the next best choice. I would try to avoid canned crab.

Recipe Tip

There’s no need to preheat the air fryer unless your air fryer requires preheating.

Prep Ahead Of Time

This dip can be mixed together, covered with plastic wrap, and refrigerated for up to 12 hours.

Storage

Seafood is highly perishable so I don’t recommend keeping leftovers for longer than 2 days. Leftovers taste great as a topping for baked potatoes.
