Air Fryer Apple Pie Baked Apples are like individual apple pies in an apple shell. You get double the apple plus a golden apple pie crust. Top with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce and you have a wonderful fall dessert.

To Peel Or Not Peel The Apples

Your choice. You can peel the apples or leave the skin on. Or you can peel most of the skin and leave a little on which is what I typically do.

Which Apples To Use

The tart flavor of Granny Smith apples works really well for this recipe. Honey Crisp, Pink Lady, and Gala also work really well.

Recipe Shortcut

Use a can of apple pie filling instead of making the from-scratch apple filling.

Cooking Times Vary

Cooking times between different air fryer brands and models can vary greatly so use the cooking time as an estimate. I use the Cosori 5.8-quart Air Fryer.

How To Store

These apples taste best when eaten right away but you can refrigerate them in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days. reheat in the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes.
