- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup cold salted butter cut into small cubes
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add butter and cut it in with a pastry blender or your fingers until there are no pieces bigger than a pea.Refrigerate for 10 minutes. In another medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.
Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until mixture is moistened. Stir in chocolate chips.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat dough into a 5-inch circle. Cut into 4 wedges.
Preheat air fryer to 360. Lightly spray basket with oil.Air fry scones for 6 minutes.
