Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Scones are wonderfully tender with a slightly crispy exterior. Loaded with mini chocolate chips, they are perfectly buttery and rich.

Materials

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup cold salted butter cut into small cubes
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add butter and cut it in with a pastry blender or your fingers until there are no pieces bigger than a pea.
    Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • In another medium bowl, whisk together heavy cream, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until mixture is moistened. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat dough into a 5-inch circle. Cut into 4 wedges.
  • Preheat air fryer to 360. Lightly spray basket with oil.
    Air fry scones for 6 minutes.
