- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
- 1 egg
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 can cherry pie filling you will not need the entire can
Thaw puff pastry according to package directions,Cut puff pastry into 6 equal-size rectangles.Poke holes with a fork in the center part of each piece. (This will help keep it from puffing up as much in the middle.) Whisk together egg with 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Brush top of puff pastry with egg wash.
Place 2 pieces of puff pastry in an air fryer basket that has been lightly sprayed with oil.Air fry at 380 degrees for 4 minutes. In a medium bowl, stir together cream cheese, sugar, and almond extract until smooth. Set aside.
Use a fork to press down on the center part of the puff pastry until you get it fairly flat, leaving a border around the edges.
Spread about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture on each one and top with 2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling.Air fry for 3 minutes. Repeat with 2 more batches.
