Air Fryer Cheddar Biscuits

Did you know you can make fluffy, buttery biscuits in the air fryer in a minimal amount of time. Well, you can. These Air Fryer Cheddar Biscuits are phenomenal. Crispy and cheesy on the outside and so tender on the inside.

Equipment

Materials

  • cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • cup plus 1 tablespoon buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons melted salted butter, divided
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, buttermilk and 4 tablespoons of melted butter.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry and stir just until there is no more dry flour. Add a touch more buttermilk if needed.
    Stir in cheddar cheese.
  • Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface.
  • Press dough into a rectangle that is about 6x4-inches.
    Cut into 6 squares, Coating the knife in flour before each cut.
  • Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees for a few minutes.
    Spray air fryer basket with oil and add biscuits to basket.
  • Air fry for 13 to 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, stir together melted butter and garlic salt. Brush on tops of the biscuits and serve.
