Materials

  • ½ pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • cups milk divided
  • ½ teaspoon salt divided
  • black pepper to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (5-count) can refrigerated biscuits
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  • Brown sausage in a nonstick skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Sprinkle flour over sausage and cook and stir 1 minute.
  • Whisk in 1 cup of milk and add ¼ teaspoon salt, pepper to taste and garlic powder. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat.
If it is too thick, you can whisk in a little more milk.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and remaining ¼ cup milk. Add remaining ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cut biscuits into thirds an place in a greased 7-inch pan.
  • Pour egg mixture over biscuits.
  • Spread sausage gravy over biscuits and top with cheese.
  • Air fry at 320 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Check after about 20 minutes. If the top is getting brown already, cover the pan with aluminum foil for the remainder of the cooking time.

Notes

I use a 5-ounce can of Pillsbury Southern Homestyle Biscuits. If using GRANDS biscuits, only use 4 biscuits instead of 5.
