Equipment

Materials

  • 1 large Honeycrisp apple
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 (5-count) can of Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls

Instructions

  • Peel and core the apple. Finely dice the apple. You should have about 1½ cups.
  • Melt butter over medium heat in a skillet. Add apple, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt and sauté for about 3 minutes to soften the apple. Let cool.
  • Remove the cinnamon rolls from the can and separate them.
    Unroll the cinnamon rolls.
  • Spoon the apple mixture on top of the cinnamon roll dough and then roll back up again.
If any of the apples fall out, stick them back in. If you have extra apple mixture, you can stuff it into the cinnamon rolls.
  • Preheat air fryer to 320 degrees for a few minutes.
Open air fryer and place a piece of parchment paper with holes in the basket or spray well with cooking spray.
Use a spatula to carefully lift the cinnamon rolls and place them in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 13 to 16 minutes. Let cool a few minutes and then spread the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls on top of them.

Notes

Prefer to use the oven? Place cinnamon rolls on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 14 to 17 minutes.
