Equipment

Materials

  • 4 mini croissants
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ground cinnamon, optional
  • ¼ cup almond paste
  • maple syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh fruit for serving

Instructions

  • Cut each croissant in half.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla.
  • Dip both sides of croissants in the egg mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
  • Preheat air fryer to 360.
  • Lightly spray air fryer basket with oil. Add croissant halves cut side down.
    Note: Do not crowd the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes, flipping over after 3 minutes.
  • Spread a small spoonful of almond paste on the cut side of each croissant. Air fry for another 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Place the cut sides of the croissants halves together to reform the croissants.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh fruit.
    Serve.

Notes

The cooking time is an estimate. Some air fryers cook faster then others. As soon as the croissants are golden, they are done.
